The
Imperial County Free
Library (ICFL) System operates branches in the Communities of Salton
City and Desert Shores. The Salton City branch has two computer terminals
with free internet access. You can also plug in your laptops LAN cable or
use its wireless capability to access the internet. Printing services are
available for a small per page fee.
These
are limited hours branches so please call the
ICFL for current
hours and locations.

West Shores Health & Education Association |

The Health and Education Center
administers several publicly funded community programs including FIND
which distributes food stuffs to needy families, and the “Buddy System” in
which volunteers do daily welfare checks on the areas elderly and/or
infirm.
The Center is located
on SR22 about 1/2 mile west of the District Office in Salton City.

Activities at the Senior Center include
Sunday afternoon Bingo from October to May. The Center is located
on SR22 about ¾ mile west of the District Office in Salton City.

West Shores Youth Center |

The West Shores Youth Center has plenty of
fun and educational activities for the areas children including an
impressive computer center and plenty of table games including pool
tables. They even have an exercise room complete with top of the line
equipment.
The Center is located
on Frontage Road one block north of the District Office.

government-subsidized program is a door-to-door transportation
service for area residents. Call

Salud Del Pueblo, Inc.- Medical Clinic |

This Medical Clinic is open to the public and funded with the
assistance of Government Grants. It is open Tuesdays and
Thursdays and is located in the Health and Education building
located on SR22 about 1/2
mile west of the District Office in Salton City. Call their
