Salton City Sewer Ponds

Pollute Arroyo Salada Wash

by Don Holland

Well it's finally a dung deal.

The critically over capacity Salton City Sewer Ponds have finally polluted Arroyo Salada Wash, just as predicted in a Salton Sea West article entitled "It Only Takes a Spillage".  While doing some investigative journalism on the state of the SCSD sewer system, the editors of Salton Sea West took some very interesting photos of pollution coming from the Salton City Sewer Ponds that has contaminated the wash with sewage effluent as well as saturating numerous residential lots around the 40 acre pond site.  Take a look at the photos and enjoy your lunch.

These Pictures were taken on May 6th, 2007 at the Arroyo Salada Wash immediately south of the Salton City Sewer Ponds.
