Challenge to a Duel Editorial by Torri Barrett So where is our illustrious leader President Butler right now? You can bet he’s yucking it up with his drinking buddies at the VFW not giving a care in the world with his “put it on the back burner” or “It’s not as bad as they’re making it sound” approach to the sewer system and all the other district problems that have come to light lately. This problem is costing citizens as well as businessmen/women money and destroying their credit as they loose their construction loans and or homes by not being able to get their building permits or getting signed off on the ones that are in progress! But why should you care, you got your home already, right BOB! So Mister Board President what you gonna do about the sewer problem at hand? You’ve been a board member for how many terms now, 2 is it not? This sewer problem is not new news it’s been around for 4 years that I know of, so you can stop pretending now, it’s not going to go away on its own. Where are the special meetings to Fast-Track the bidding process for the road and pipeline to the new sewer ponds? So when the Water Quality Board gives the OK we can jump right into building the new ponds. Get off your ass and do something Mister Board President or step down! Everyone is looking at you, so now is the time to be the man of the hour if you are man enough! You can bet that your failure to act in your last 6 years of office will now bring this whole can of worms into the eyes of the court system. Stand up and be a man or sit down and let a woman show you how it’s done. |
